Motivation and Inspiration

Motivation and inspiration are two different things.

Motivation is an external reason that moves you into action. For example, I am working overtime so that I can save up for a holiday overseas.

Inspiration is an out-of-the-box feeling that moves you into action. For example, I am working overtime because I feel inspired to finish this task today.

Limiting characteristics of demotivated and uninspired staff:

  • Pessimistic outlook
  • Negative attitude
  • Glass half-empty perspective
  • Lackadaisical and lethargic

Many companies find it difficult to motivate some of their staff to go beyond the minimum requirement and achieve extraordinary outcomes. Some employees are satisfied with the money they earn, are not interested in promotion or expanding their skills and experience.

Unless these employees are inspired by the company’s vision and are enthusiastic about achieving the stretch goals needed to fulfil the great vision, they will not be engaged and participate accordingly.

In order to become an extraordinary company, all employees need to be onboard.

Zone Culture’s proprietary tools and proven methodology is exceptionally effective in helping employees be inspired and remain inspired. Book a discovery call to find out how.
